Bienvenue to Carcassonne

My Affair with Carcassonne began in 1974 when visiting the fairy tale castle and vibrant city as a child.
It was many years after this first visit before I returned to live in the Carcassonne area with my wife and family and it is now our great pleasure to open our home to travelers and first time visitors alike so that they can enjoy the unique character of this dramatic and un-spoilt region of France.

Chez Nous - Accommodation nr Carcassonne

Our home is an Ancienne Maison De Vigneron, lovingly renovated and standing in 1/2 acre of gardens with a private swimming pool.

The accommodation is approached through a secluded courtyard to the front where access can be gained to two private buildings; the 'Ancienne Maison' and the 'Stables'.

Natural features such as  exposed beams, stone walls and high ceilings have been retained to maximize the feeling of rustic grandeur, while all modern conveniences have been incorporated into the design.

The large gardens are to the rear of the property and provide access both to the swimming pool and many seating areas from which to relax and observe the stunning county side. More Info.

Location

Mazerolles Du Razes is situated in the heart of the 'Cathar' country within the Malepere wine region, near Carcassonne and the Canal du Midi. 

The region's rich history is retained in the many castles and abbeys, which have dominated the local area since before the 8th century More Info, while Mazerolles is ideally placed for visits to Mediterranean beaches, the ski and spa resorts of the Pyrenees and caves of Montagne Noir Regional Map.
